Morning at the Beach

We finally made it out to the beach this morning, Laguna Beach! 

We were searching for a good spot to set-up camp when Ellie ran into one of her daycare friends. A little boy in her class named Cooper. We spent the next few hours getting to know him and his parents. 

Ellie had fun playing with Cooper and Emily had fun playing in the sand and chasing birds. 

It was hectic so I only was able to get a few pics, and none with the kids unfortunately. However, we will be back. It is only 7 miles from where our new place will be. 

Concert at the South Coast Plaza Mall

We are finding that there is always something going on at the South Coast Plaza Mall. 

Today we stumbled across a live performance by Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band. Never heard of them? Turns out they are somewhat famous in the Children's Music Category, and have even won a Latin Grammy. They have also been featured on NPR.

Great Grandma and Uncle Ernie Visit

Minnie and Uncle Ernie came out for a visit over this past weekend. It was so good to see them and spend time together. We showed them around the OC although it tuns out Ernie knows this area like the back of his hand. 

The girls did a good job keeping everyone entertained on a hot weekend!

The OC Zoo!

This weekend we explored the South Coast Plaza Mall (a 10 minute walk from our apartment) and the O.C Zoo. 

Fun Fact: Wikipedia claims the mall is the biggest on the west coast and its sales over 1.5 billion annually are the largest in the US! Needless to say, it is a massive mall. The girls enjoyed the carousel. 

The O.C Zoo is a small regional zoo in the larger Irvine Regional Park. Most animals are native to the southwest. 

Cousin Visit

The San Diego Reifenberger's came up to the O.C. on Saturday. The cousins had a blast playing together and Jeff and Jody watched our kids while we looked at a few houses.
