Busy Weekend !

Busy weekend. In a 24 hour stretch we had soccer practice, gymnastics, a soccer game and a birthday party. 


First-up Emmy at Gymnastics: 

Next was Ellie's first soccer game. The Purple Dragons vs the Pink Panthers. Ellie is #4 and did a great during warm-ups and for the first couple minutes of the game. 

However, the action got intense quick and she bolted for the sideline. After she calmed down the other teams coach / referee (the guy in the blue shirt) convinced Ellie to be his assistant and she spent the rest of the game holding his hand and running up and down the field occasionally getting into the scrum. She did manage to score a goal at one point though.

Lastly, a birthday party at Pump it Up - a funhouse of inflatable slides, obstacles, and other activities. 

By the end of the day Emmy was ready to go to sleep on our kitchen floor mat. 

Labor Day Weekend

A great weekend here. 

Emmy had a 2.5 year check-up on Friday and appears to be doing well! I snapped this picture of her over the weekend passed out on the couch. 

Ellie had soccer practice and did a great job participating in the drills.  

We took an evening stroll and watched the sun set from Dana Point.   The girls enjoyed running the trails. 

Sunday, we went to the Natural History Museum in San Diego. Darcy and I peddled the kids around in a Surrey before going to the museum to look at dinosaurs, whales and skulls. 

After that we went over to Jeff and Jody's and rode bikes and watched movies.
