Scootin'!

The girls enjoyed some scooter time at our neighborhood park this weekend.

Emmy went to a birthday party and there was lady who could make just about anything out of balloons. Naturally, emmy asked for an Ariel and Elsa.

Weekend Getaway !

For the first time in years, possibly ever?, the four of us headed out to explore / vacation. Right on queue a once in a decade weather event (rain) struck SoCal at the same time that Ellie came down with a sickness that would have her perpetually coughing to the point that it nearly drove everyone insane. Nothing like a little family vacation for some R&R!

First up - the Long Beach Aquarium.

Next Up - Santa Monica, where it rained and rained some more.

Some poncho's that Aunt Stacey had given to us years ago saved us!

Next Up - Santa Barbara

Emmy definitely belongs in the Monkey family!

Ellie seems a little unsure with the lion behind her!

And finally the drive back home!

Winter Soccer

With all the rain our first three games of winter soccer were canceled. But the past couple weekend the weather has been nice so game on! Ellie is doing great and scored a couple goals in today's game.

Once again Ellie is on the Purple team.

Emmy works on her skills on the sideline.

I Am Back

Apologies for being MIA for a few weeks. Busy, Busy, Busy.

Bobpa spent a week with us while I was on a business trip. Great to have his support while I was gone and the girls really had fun.

Ellie has been busy: A few weekends ago Darcy took her to see Matilda the musical (she can't stop signing and dancing). She was also invited to a birthday party at the local skating rink so got to test out her ice skating skills. Today I took her to see the Lady Anteater basketball game at UCI.

Emmy is doing great. She moved up from the Jr. Preschool class to .Preschool class. She enjoys painting and jumping off the couch into the "pit".

We have had a TON of rain here which has made it very green and put a huge dent in our drought situation. Here is the view from a few blocks up the street. The snow pack in the mountains is looking good as well.

And I celebrated another birthday.
