Back to School

Well - just like that we are back in School (Ellie first grade, Emily pre-K)!

The Great Solar Eclipse of 2017!

On Monday the girls enjoyed watching the solar eclipse through their special glasses (thanks macro) with some neighbor kids. I think we only reached ~65% coverage here. 

Here is to the next one on April 2, 2024! 

Kid Ailani

Ellie spent the week in Musical Theatre camp and loved it! They practiced all week and put on a production of Moana. Ellie had the part of a villager kid (Kid Ailani). She only had a couple parts at the beginning but she nailed them . 

Ellie has the line "our island is a girl!" and "The story, Tell us the story." her back is facing the camera. 

And last weekend Ellie moved up from a "minnow" to a "guppy" in swim lesson class. All that swimming in Oceanside and Phoenix must have paid off! 

Oceanside

We spent the past week in Oceanside with Bob and Jamie. A great week of fun in the sun  (and sand) with everyone.

Beach time ! 

When we were not on the beach there was a lot of card games and magic shows 

We were able to get together with Jamie's cousin and husband (who happen to live in Rancho Bernardo).

We also spent a hot day at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park with Jody, Owen, and Anne. 

Here is to a great week in Oceanside (and Bob and Jamie took the kids back to Phoenix with them!).
