FutureStars Weekend Tournament (update)

In November after Ellie's soccer season ended she was asked to play on a "future stars" team - which consisted of a couple practices and a weekend soccer tournament in January. We were really proud of her and she was really excited.

Today she had the first two games and has one more tomorrow.

She is #11

Game 1: Win - Aliso Viejo, 3 , Dana Point, 0.

Ellie spent the first half at goalie and had a several good stops. It was a noon game (and hot, ~84F) looking right into the sun.

Game 2: Loss - Aliso Viejo-0 , Rancho Santa Margarita-1

After the game at noon they had to come back at 4:00 for the second game. They looked a little gassed and came up short. Ellie was on defense and then spent a quarter at wing.

Some pre-game warm-up.

That is Ellie on the far left with the yellow and orange ball.

Gametime:

Game 3 - Tied - Aliso Viejo, 0 ; Laguna Beach, 0

Well that's it folks. 1 win, 1 loss, and 1 tie. Signing off from the Aliso Viejo fields. That is the end of soccer until next fall.

But Softball starts in a few weeks!

Emily is 4!

Emily is 4! This very sweet and silly girl has had a fun week.

But first a look back at the previous birthdays.

Newborn.

Four:

Last weekend we celebrated with having some of Emily friends over to the house. It was little chaotic but the kids kept busy playing games and doing crafts.

Wow look at Ellie in the above picture - you think she might be a little jelous because it isn't her birthday!!

Today, we celebrated Emily's actual B-day at home. Thanks for all the gifts everyone! 2 birthdays, Chanukah, and Xmas in 5 weeks - no more gifts for another 11 months!!

We topped off the busy day (Em gymnastics + 2 of Ellie's soccer games) with a dinner at Chilis.
