Turkey Tournament

We finished-up the Fall 2021 softball season with the Turkey Tournament that was hosted by our Aliso Viejo leauge along with neigboring Mission Viejo.

Emily's team, the Black Widows, struggled all season from a win / loss perspective but they did get better as the season went along. In the Turkey tournament they played tough against a Ranch Trabuco team and a Mission Viejo team but came-up short. Still proud of how they got better as the season went along.

Ellie's team looked terrible on Saturday in pool play loosing to Laguna Niguel and San Clemente - errors everywhere, just looked terrible. On Sunday in bracket play it was a totally different team rattling off three W's by a combined score of 36 to 6 (vs. Tustin, Orange Canyon, and San Clemente).

In the Championship game they lost to a very good Irvine team 7 to 4 to come in 2nd place. Very impressive to see the resilence the girls showed going from getting their butt kicked on Saturday to coming back on Sunday and playing like they are capable of playing.

Halloween 2022

Halloween this year was on A Sunday.  Ellie went as a boxer and Emily went as Harry Potter.

Things kicked-off on Saturday. Jeff, Jody, Owen, Anne came up and we carved pumpkins. In a bit of a milestone the kids did all the work of getting their pumpkins carved-up while the parents watched!

Ellie walked the neighborhood with our neighbor Iris and a mutual friend Amory.

Emily went out with her bestie Kayla who was dressed like
Hermione Granger from Harry Potter.

Sunset at Laguna Beach

The past few months have been crazy busy - hence my delay in posting anything new. Time to get caught up.

In early Oct. we took advantage of a free Saturday and watched the sunset in the Pacific.
