Emily's 8th Birthday

And BOOOM - Emily is 8! Growing-up right before our very eyes into a beautiful, funny/silly, smart girl. We are very proud of her.

For her 8th birthday we celebrated as a family first. Thanks everyone for all the wonderful gifts. She is really enjoying them. Darcy and I got her an electric guitar with an amp....she has been talking about wanting to play.....and I'm a sucker for guitars!

A few days later we rented space where the girls do gymnastics. The girls had fun running around, tumbling, and jumping on the trampolines.

Christmas break in Indiana

Well after opening and exploring presents Christmas morning / day - in the evening we took an overnight flight to Indiana - from SNA to SFO to IND.  All told we spent a fun filled week in Indiana.

Nobody got a lot of sleep but all-in-all the girls did great for their first red eye.

Uncle David was nice enough to pick us up from IND very early and we met up with Mom and Dad at the Bob Evans in Brownsburg. Poor Emily was pretty out of it!

There was some napping that first day (except Ellie who powered through) but in no time they were back to their normal selves.

The knitting Nano - always knitting something. This time it seemed mittens for her friends.

A lot of good cousin time and they picked-up right where they left off over the summer.  Cora really enjoyed hanging out with the girls - a nice change of pace from her brothers it seemed. "MD" as she likes to call Emily.

David and I - master of the charcuterie board

Ellie's first pedicure - thanks Aunt Amy!

First movie in the theatre in at least 2 years (thanks Covid) - but we all went out to see Sing II.

We got up to Lafayette and got the chance to see #3 Purdue beat Nichols 104 to 90.

Aunt Amy giving Ellie some cooking lessons!

Lots of board games were played.

Rhett only had to go the the urgent care once during our week long visit which seemed like a win! Had to get his head glued back together after a mysterious incident with his brother. It didn't slow him down much but Cora seems over it.

In between all the excitement Mom getting some rest.

We celebrated the London New Years (7pm Indiana time). The kiddos enjoyed their blowout noise makers and dancing! Those kids can really Dance!

I think Dad really enjoyed watching all the grandkids have so much fun.

Well that is a wrap on the Holidays! 2022 here we come!
