Ellie's Job Board / Harlem Globetrotter

Lots of fun this weekend.

Ellie really got into making her own job board, modeled after the one they have in her class. Other than me having to spell out the job descriptions, she did the whole project herself. Listed in blue are the jobs (Line Leader, Mat Helper, Lunch Helper, Chair Helper, Light Helper, and Calendar Helper). Listed in red are the names of her friends who are assigned to the indicated job. This entertained her for hours and Darcy and I were assigned to Mat Helper, whatever that means.

Emily did a ton of eating and growing over the weekend. Look how big she now looks.

For my birthday, Darcy got me and Ellie tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters, complete with a pre-game pass to meet the team and learn different tricks. It was awesome to get to walk on the court. Two words, Larry Legend!!

Court Side Seats at the Garden!

For the actual game we had to move back a few rows, but our seats were still great. Overall, I think Ellie enjoyed it. When we got home she wanted to "practice", so we worked on dribbling and passing for 5 minutes....... she also enjoyed the train ride and the snacks.

Weekend Highlights

The highlights from this weekend:

Knowledge Beginnings (our daycare) had their 16th birthday party on Friday. The girls had a great time dancing with their friends and showing off their moves.

Work kept me a bit latter than I expected but I made it just in time for a daddy daughter dance.

Sunday we went to brunch with some friends. We even managed to get the girls dressed up and snap a few pictures before we left.

Last weekend Emmy was giving her baby a bottle. This weekend she was feeding her stuffed animals Ritz cracker sleeves.

Hope

The glaciers are starting to recede and in their place some flowers are starting to poke through which gives us a little hope that spring is around the corner. However, by the end of the weekend it was snowing again. I think we only need around 2 inches to break the all time record.

For those interested, here are some pics of the glaciers in our driveway. Significant melting but still a long way to go.

Emmy started Toddler Class this past week and is learning a lot from her new toddler friends.

Em and El watching a show together.

Phoenix Trip

Last week we traded the cold and snow of Boston for a week in sunny Phoenix visiting Darcy's family. We had a great time seeing everyone, and meeting our new nephew, Connor James.

Here are just a few of the highlights:

Family Time:

Ellie with Darcy's cousins, Maddie and Jocelyn.

Riveted by Cinderella.

An intense game of tic-tac-toe with Minnie.

Adventure Time

This sweet giraffe begrudgingly came over for snacks at Wildlife World.

Ellie singing to a Cholla (perhaps the jumping variety?), a few moments latter she stepped on one.

Emmy was fascinated by all the rocks, all she sees in Boston is snow.

"Push Ellie, push"

Playing with Cousins

Emmy and Katelyn playing with GJ's exercise ball.

Uncle Matty's facial hair, always a good time with the kids.

Ellie and Katelyn running errands in their cars.

Fascinating dinner conversation between Emmy, Ellie, and Katelyn.

Last but not least, Darcy and I were able to spend some time with our new nephew. He was born on Feb. 24th, a bit earlier than expected but is doing well. We were so glad we were able to meet him.
