Weekend Update

The Purple Pandas tied on Saturday. The Pink team was clearly better, so we will take the T. For those of you keeping track they are now 1-1-1 on the season.

A couple from this Saturday:

A couple from last Saturday's win against Neon Yellow:

Coming of a bye week, on Sunday the Pink Panthers had an away softball game against their rivals in Laguna Niguel (who happened to be the Purple Pandas, confusing right!!).  They don't keep score in Softball (it seems everyone scores) but the panthers have been the better team in their first two games. Ellie played right center and pitcher.

They moved to coach pitch this game and she had three nice "hits" including this one:

Here are a couple pics. of Emily being Emily! And Ellie leading a neighbor girl in a yoga class.

Sporty Weekend

For the next few months our weekends are going to consist of soccer, gymnastics, softball, and whatever else we can cram in.

Em. doing her gymnastics - all set to go.

Ellie had her first soccer game (Purple Pandas, #3). This year they have goalies! I was at gymnastics so I missed most of the game but I heard she did great. They lost 1 to 0.

On Sunday, Ellie had her first softball / t-ball game (Pink Panthers, #11). She did great, and was even given the game ball!

Same pre-game warmups

And then on to the game!

Ellie had a couple of really good defensive plays at second base!

Mom and Emmy playing PawPatrols.

We also made it to the pool!

Labor Day Weekend

And with that - Summer is over. It will be a sprint to the new year.

We spent a very hot Saturday down in SD with Jeff and Jody (and their new dog Scout!). Sunday we had some friends over. Monday we explored a new park and did a hike.

It could be our last relaxing weekend for the foreseeable future. Gymnastics, soccer, and softball are going to quickly consume our weekends.

Monday exploring a new playground.

Brilliant idea for a swing - why didn't I think of this:
