In week 4 soccer action the Ponies game up a bit short as did the Mayhem.
In the first game Darcy had to fill in as head coach (with Ellie as her stand-in assistant). The ponies battled the Incredibles but lost somewhere on the order of 3 to 6. Em battled hard and came away with a couple goals.
In the 2nd game, the Mayhem had a tough loss 0 to 1 against the 1st ranked team, the Purple Dragons. It should have been a 0 to 0 tie but there was a penalty kick on what I thought was a bad call that allowed the Dragons to score their one goal of the game.
Week three action saw the Ponies taking on the Electric Butterflies. A good game all around that ended in a 5 to 5 tie. I think Em had three goals.
Plus I got to use my new zoom lens!!

In the afternoon game the Mayhem came up short and lost 2 to 4 to the OC Squid. That makes the Mayhems record at 1 win and 2 losses three games into the season. The Squid had some heavy hitters who could really boot the ball.
In the 4th quarter Ellie played goalie (yellow jersey). She had three saves and gave up one goal.
