Well this week the big news is that the girls finished the school year! Ellie finished 3rd grade and Emily Kindergarten.
It hasn't been easy the past 3 months schooling from home because of Covid but I think we did the best we could under difficult circumstances.
Both girls did a lot of growing this past academic year and we couldn't be more proud of them. Let us hope that when we start up again in August we will be back in school. Onward to 4th and 1st grade!

Given it was the last week of school there wasn't much going on in the way of school work this week. So the girls had to entertain themselves most of the day.
Emily painted this gem and called it "tiger hunting at night" . Emily wants to work at a zoo taking care of animals when she grows up.
Ellie working on recording a song she wrote and sang and added some music to. She wants to be a singer / actress if you ask her. Probably watching too many Disney shows the past few months.
Everyone morning for the past few months before the day gets going Darcy and I review our schedules for the day and put our calls on a white board. It give us (and the girls) a better sense of our schedule and when we are available to help the kids. Below is a picture from earlier this week - something like 15 calls between the 2 of us. I have grown to hate this damn board, the stress board as I call it.
Well, signing off with what I think will be my last Covid update. Seems like it has just been a slow and steady rise in Covid cases here in Orange county since mid-March. The girls are hitting the road tomorrow to spend 2 weeks in Phoenix. I am staying behind. I think we could all use some space.
Things have been opening up a bit and it seems life is slowly returning to normal. There is even talk of organized softball coming back at some point this summer, I guess time will tell. I am going to head to work next week for the first time since everything shut down in march. When the girls come back they have summer camps lined-up for most of the rest of summer. Besides, it seems like everyone has grown tired of Covid and moved onto race riots.
