Christmas 2015

Lots of fun being back in Lafayette for Christmas and the New Year. Mom and Dad were champs for letting us and the kids take over the house for a week. It rained a lot and we did not see the sun the entire time but between puzzles, Home Alone movies, gun fights, cooking, Buccaneer Bay, Whiskey Bobs, clothes shopping, and playing we were able to stay busy.

Dad looking unphased as Jeff, David, Jody, Amy, Darcy and I head out for a grown-up dinner and he is left in charge.

Emerson and Emily entertained us with all of their funny faces.

Emmy doing her best Macaulay Culkin Home Alone impersonation.

Dad set-up a "home office" with some old key boards and phones, always a big hit with the kids.

Anne impressed us with her reading.
Jeff, David, and I engaged in some intense puzzling.

Ellie's 5th Birthday

A weekend of celebrating with Family and Friends for Ellie's 5th birthday. We are so proud of her. Bob and Jamie drove up and we celebrated with family on Thursday evening. On Saturday, she had a party with her friends at Pump It Up - a local facility that has inflatable bounce houses, slides, and obstacle courses of all sizes.

From Pump it Up, there were about 15 kids from her class and some neighborhood kids.

Happy Hanukkah!

First day of Hanukkah.

The girls got new dresses!

I think Ellie was expecting something more. Emmy is pretending to be asleep.

Hiking - in December!

This weekend we went on a hike in the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park which is just a few miles North of our house. Some great trails here and so nice to be able to do this in December.

Now only if the kids were older - 15 minutes in and they were both complaining about being hungry and their legs hurting.  Needless to say by the time we got back to the car I was carrying Ellie and Darcy was carrying Emmy.

I think all they wanted to do was play with their baby dolls.

Thanksgiving 2015

For Thanksgiving this year we went to Phoenix. Darcy and the girls (including GJ) drove out Saturday. I followed a few days later via air. Sure was great to see everyone!

Katelyn, Emmy, and Ellie celebrating Minnie's 86th birthday on Monday.

For Thanksgiving Bob and Jamie hosted the entire clan. For a few minutes were even able to get everyone to sit reasonably still.

Dr. Friedman with the girls.

Katelyn and Emmy.

Ellie entertaining Connor.

Emmy enjoying a pre-Thanksgiving Peanutbutter and Nuttela sandwich.

Riding the Daisy Mountain Express at the local Anthem park.

On Friday, Jamie and Bob watched all the grandkiddos while Darcy, Stacey, David and I went our for dinner and a movie. Judging by this picture everyone behaved.
